International Women’s Day was first established in the early 1900s as a day where all women can gather together to rally for gender equality. A century later, IWD continues to be a platform that drives political action and support in recognition of women’s achievements in the social, economic, and political arenas in life.
In celebration of this important day, the RIPE project is shining a spotlight on some of our female scientists who have provided meaningful contributions in plant science to achieve a more food-secure future. Much like the iconic Wonder Woman, these RIPE wonder women are making the world a better place.
